Rules

 

1. Football

  • To play, select one of three outcomes: a home win, an away win, or a draw. If you're unsure which is the home team, don't worry - it will be clearly stated when you make your selection. If the match is at a neutral venue, WKW will designate the home team.
  • Unless otherwise stated, the selection will end after the initial 90 minutes. Extra time will not be counted.
  • If the match is abandoned for any reason (excl. disciplinary circumstances), it will be counted as void and no points will be awarded.
  • If the match is abandoned due to disciplinary circumstances, WKW will decide a result for this fixture.
  • If the match is suspended for any reason and then resumed on the same day (before midnight in the country where the match is played), the final result will stand and each correct selection will receive 1 point.
  • If the match is suspended for any reason and NOT resumed on the same day (before midnight in the country where the match is played), it will be classed as void.
  • Results will be appear as stated by the relevant football governing bodies.
  • If there is an appeal by any team after the final whistle, this will have no bearing on WKW even if the result is changed.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.

2. Horse Racing

  • To play, select one horse to win each race. If your horse wins, you will gain 1 point.
  • If your horse is a non-runner or withdrawn from the race, your selection will be automatically transferred to the favourite according to the Racing Post. If there are joint favourites, the selection will be the first alphabetically.
  • If there is only one horse lined up in a race, each entrant will have that horse.
  • If no horse crosses the finish line and no horse is classified as a finisher, the race will be void and no points will be awarded.
  • In an event of a steward's enquiry, the result will be pending until the enquiry is resolved.
  • If the result is changed by the stewards, WKW will reflect this up to 2 hours after the race. If the result is amended more than 2 hours after the race, the initial WKW winner will remain unchanged.
  • If there is more than one winner in a race (i.
  • e. a dead heat), all entrants who selected the joint-winners will gain 1 point.
  • Starting prices and the race result will be as stated by the Racing Post.
  • If there is any dispute on the outcome of a race, WKW will have the final say.

2.1. Horse Racing Top 3

  • To play, select one horse to finish in the top three horses of your chosen race.
  • If your horse finishes in the top three, you will gain 1 point.
  • If there is a tie for third place, all tied horses will be counted in the Top 3.
  • If the result is changed by the stewards, WKW will reflect this up to 2 hours after the race. If the result is amended more than 2 hours after the race, the initial WKW winner will remain unchanged.
  • If your horse is a non-runner or withdrawn from the race, your selection will be automatically transferred to the favourite according to the Racing Post. If there are joint favourites, the selection will be the first alphabetically.
  • If there is any dispute on the outcome of a race, WKW will have the final say.

3. Tennis

  • To play, select one player to win a singles match or one pair to win a doubles match.
  • If a player withdraws before the match, the match will be classed as void and no points will be awarded.
  • If a player withdraws during the match, the other player will be declared the WKW winner.
  • If a match is suspended or abandoned, the result will be on hold until the match is completed. If the match doesn't resume, it will be classed as void and no points will be awarded.
  • If a match is delayed or suspended due to weather, the result will be on hold until the match is completed.
  • If a match is abandoned for disciplinary reasons against one player, the other player will be declared the WKW winner.
  • Results will be as stated by the relevant sporting governing body.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.

4. Rugby Union

  • To play, select one of three outcomes: a home win, an away win, or a draw. If you're unsure which is the home team, don't worry - it will be clearly stated when you make your selection. If the match is at a neutral venue, WKW will designate the home team.

5. Golf

5.1. Tournament selection

  • To play, select one player to win the tournament.
  • In the case of a tie, the winner will be the player who wins the play off.
  • If the tournament is abandoned, all selections will be void unless the relevant governing bodies declares a winner.
  • If a player withdraws before the tournament begins, the selection will be automatically transferred to the tournament favourite as chosen by WKW based on bookmaker odds. The favourite will be clearly stated at the beginning of play.
  • If a player withdraws during the tournament, the selection is unsuccessful and no points will be awarded.
  • The winning player will be as stated by the relevant sporting body.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.

5.2. Top 10 selection

  • To play, select one player to finish in the Top 10 of the specified tournament.
  • If the selected player finishes in the Top 10, you will receive 1 point.
  • If there is a tie for tenth place, all tied players will be counted in the Top 10.
  • If the tournament is suspended or abandoned, the result will be decided by the relevant sporting bodies. If no result is decided, the tournament will be classed as void and no points will be awarded.
  • If the chosen player withdraws before the first round, your selection will automatically be transferred to the tournament favourite as decided by WKW. The favourite will be clearly stated at the beginning of play.
  • The Top 10 players will be as stated by the relevant sporting body.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.

5.3. Match Betting

  • A match bet pits the performance of one player against the performance of another player in a specified tournament, e.g. Jordan Spieth vs Rory McIlroy.
  • To play, select one player to finish the tournament in a better final position than the other player.
  • In the case of a tie, both players will be classed as winners and each selection will gain 1 point.
  • If both players are tied for the lead at the end of the tournament, the winner will be the player who wins the play off.
  • If more than the 2 chosen players are involved in the play off and neither selection wins, they will be tied for second place and both selections will be classed as WKW winners.
  • If one of the players misses the cut and the other makes it, the player who makes the cut will be automatically selected as the winner of that match bet.
  • The final standings will be as verified by the relevant sporting governing body.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.

6. Darts

  • To play, select one player to win a specified match.
  • If the match is suspended or abandoned, the result will be pending conclusion. If no conclusion is met on the same day (prior to midnight in the country of play), the match will be classed as void and no points will be awarded.
  • The winner will be as verified by the relevant sporting body.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.

7. NFL American Football

  • To play, select one of two outcomes: a home win or an away win. If you're unsure which is the home team, don't worry - it will be clearly stated when you make your selection. If the match is at a neutral venue, WKW will designate the home team.

  • If there is no winner after the overtime period, the match will be a draw and both selections will be classed as WKW winners.

  • If the match is abandoned due to disciplinary circumstances, WKW will decide a result for this fixture.

11.1. Race betting

  • To play, select one driver to win the specified race.
  • If there is a dead heat, the drivers involved will all be classified as winning selections and each selection will gain 1 point.
  • If the race is suspended and cannot be resumed, the result will be void and no points awarded unless the FIA announces a result.
  • The winner of the race will be as verified by the FIA.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.

11.2. Match Betting

  • A match bet pits the performance of one player against the performance of another player in a specified race, e.g. Lewis Hamilton vs Nico Rosberg.
  • To play, you will select one driver to finish the race in a better final position than the other driver.
  • In the case of a dead heat, both drivers will be classed as winners and each selection will gain 1 point.
  • If one of the drivers retires from the race at any stage, the driver who completes the race will be classed as the winner.
  • If a selected driver does not start the race, the match bet will be void and no points will be awarded.
  • The final standings will be as verified by the FIA.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.

11.3. Top 3 selection

  • To play, select one driver to finish in the Top 3 drivers of your chosen race.
  • If your driver finishes in the Top 3, you will gain 1 point.
  • If the race is suspended or abandoned, the result will be verified by the relevant sporting bodies. If no result is verified, the race will be classed as void and no points will be awarded.
  • If a selected driver does not start the race, your selection will be automatically transferred to the race favourite as decided by WKW. The favourite will be clearly stated before the race.
  • The final standings will be as verified by the FIA.
  • If there is a dispute about any result, WKW will have the final say.
